Because the nervous system controls every cell and organ in your body, chiropractors focus attention on the health of the spine being properly aligned.

If the spine shifts out of its proper place, then adjustments are used to help bring the spine back into alignment.

Chiropractic can play a vital part in injury prevention, pain relief, healing, rehabilitation and improving sports performance.

Below are a few of the most common conditions treated at Family Chiropractic:

  • Spinal problems
  • Joint Problems
  • Sports injuries
  • Headaches
  • Dizziness

Our specialist chiropractors will take you through a chiropractic consultation and tailor a treatment programme to suit your personal needs.

What happens during chiropractic treatment

At your first appointment, our chiropractors will assess your symptoms in a consultation to determine if chiropractic treatment is suitable and what techniques are likely to help.

Our Chiropractors use a range of techniques to reduce pain, improve function and increase mobility, including hands-on manipulation of the spine. As well as manual treatment, we are able to offer a package of care which includes advice on self-help, therapeutic exercises and lifestyle changes.

Some of these different techniques will include:

  • Spinal Manipulation – using their hands to apply force to muscles, bones and joints in and around the spine
  • Short, sharp thrusting movements
  • Gradually moving your joints into different positions
  • Pulling or stretching your muscles in different directions
